Corum’s Machinery Breaks Records in Kazakhstan

Corum’s Machinery Breaks Records in Kazakhstan
7 Февраля 2014

Following the 2013 results, Corum’s heading machine was recognised one of the best among 39 machines of the similar class used by the mines of ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest mining and metal company in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to Rustam Shaiakhmetov, the deputy director for heading of Kazakhstanskaya Mine, this achievement became possible due to the well-coordinated work of the team, the mechanics maintaining the machine and the reliable machinery. He also said that the geological conditions of the heading machine operation are rather complicated, as the preparation for the degasing of the coal beds under development was going on in the methane abundance conditions.

“This model of the KPD heading machine is the most successful. In 2012, it received the Grand Prix at the international trade fair Ugol Rossii & Mining. In August 2013, the machine broke the Ukrainian heading record at Pivdennodonbaska No. 1 Mine. These facts prove that our machinery gives good results”, said Yevgeniy Romashchin, Corum Group’s CEO.
