SIC Mining Machines manufactures reliable electric locomotives
SIC Mining Machines manufactured conventional electric locomotives AM8D and twin-unit locomotives, comprised of two similar electric locos based on common control and fuel systems for its partners form Kazakhstan. This improves haulage performance and operating efficiency of the electric locomotive significant. Besides, the supplied accumulator electric locomotives are the explosion-proof design.
To facilitate operation and improve miner’s safety the locos are equipped with upgraded signaling and lighting systems. Electric locos supplied to Kazchrome (a part of ENRC Group) are additionally equipped with redundant charger.
The transport manufactured at one of SIC Mining Machines production sites will be operated at Kazchrome coal washing plants in Aktiubinsk region and at ArcelorMittal Temirtau coal mine in Karaganda region.
Last year SIC Mining Machines manufactured different equipment for ArcelorMittal Temirtau. Manufacturing of KPD tunneling machine for gas drainage seams and main ventilation boring was one of the largest projects.
Igor Fomenko, Sales and Marketing Director of Mining Machines is convinced that the company offers highly reliable mining equipment, tested at hard geological conditions of coal mines in Ukraine, Russia and other countries. “We are also ready to provide quality after-sales and post warranty maintenance for the whole scope of supplied equipment”, he highlighted. For this purpose SIC Mining Machines established commercial office in Kazakhstan.
Production of AM8D and 2AM8D mining accumulator electric locomotives, explosion-proof design, was launched in 1960s. Currently they become the most commonly used underground mining transport. They have undergone lots of upgrades the most resent dated in 2010. For the present moment about 1200 locos of these types are used in various coal mines within the Ukraine.
