Gennady Vysotsky gave 46 years of his life to the native plant; he made a hard way from being an electric welder at the welded structures workshop to the plant’s director: first, he became a foreman, then the head of the workshop; he worked as the plant’s chief engineer and the deputy CEO for [procurements, sales and logistics. During the period when he managed the plant’s operations, the company achieved significant success in increasing the production volumes of mining equipment and mastering new product types.
The country’s authorities highly appreciated Gennady Vysotsky’s service: he was recognised as the Honoured Machine Builder of Ukraine in 2002, awarded the Order of Labour Achievements of Category IV, the Medal of a Defender of the Fatherland, the Medal dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Labour Glory Medal in 2008, the Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Medal, the Medal for the Independence of Ukraine of Category II, the People’s Honour Medal in 2009, the badges of honour for the Miners’ Glory of Сategories III (1991) and I (1997) , the Miners’ Valour of Category III (2000), the commemorative For Courage and Love of the Fatherland. Since 1995, he was a full member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and made an invaluable contribution to the domestic mining.
There are a lot of awards that Gennady Vysotsky received during his life, but the most important thing is that he was an open and kind Human, attentive and careful towards people.
