Yakov Sidlyarenko was appointed Corum Group’s CEO on April 22, 2015. He has wide experience in financial management and knows the specific character of the machine-building industry quite well. Since 2010, he was in charge of the development of SCM Group’s machine-building business and was a member of Corum Group’s Supervisory Board.
He is an expert in investment management; he was directly involved in taking strategic decisions by Corum Group’s Supervisory Board aimed at the Group’s development, which enabled the Group to confirm its leadership in Ukraine, to increase its share in the CIS market and penetrate in the markets of Europe and Asia.
Before he occupied the position of an investment manager with SCM Group, he had been the Vice President of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Concord Capital Bank, where he made several large-scale transactions aimed at purchasing controlling stocks in Ukrainian and Belarusian companies, supported restructuring of businesses and projects for attracting financing.
From 2002 until 2007, he dealt with audit and transaction support at PricewaterhouseCoopers, the largest international company in the Big Four.
In 2001, he graduated from Kyiv National University of Economics majoring in Bank Management. He started his professional career as a credit expert of Aval Bank; later he was the Deputy Head of the Department for Market Risk Management at Savings Bank of Ukraine.
